Pressure Loss Bench
Product Description
A PLC-controlled automatic test bench that determines the pressure loss (Δp) of water meters according to EN ISO 4064 and OIML R49. The pressure difference across the meter is measured from minimum to permanent flow rate (Q1–Q3) against a reference flowmeter; the loss of the test pipework is subtracted to obtain the meter's actual pressure loss, which is evaluated against its Δp class. Available as a compact line for DN15–DN40 and as a high-flow line for DN50 and larger meters.

Water Meter Pressure Loss Test BenchFeatures
EN ISO 4064 and OIML R49 Compliant
Pressure loss tests of water meters performed according to the relevant standard procedures.
DN15–DN40 Test Capacity
Suitable test connections for mechanical, ultrasonic and electronic water meters.
DN50 – DN∞ Large Meters
High-flow test line with flange adapters for Woltman, electromagnetic and ultrasonic flanged meters.
Precise Differential Pressure Measurement
The pressure difference between meter inlet and outlet is measured with a high-precision sensor.
Testing over the Q1–Q3 Flow Range
Pressure loss is determined from minimum flow rate up to permanent flow rate.
Automatic Flow Control
Stable flow is achieved with a frequency-controlled pump and proportional control valves.
Automatic PLC Test Management
Flow setting, measurement, data acquisition and test steps are carried out automatically.
Reference Flowmeter System
Accurate measurement of the actual flow rate with a calibrated reference flowmeter.
Pipework Pressure Loss Compensation
The pressure loss caused by the test pipework is measured and separated from the meter's loss.
Standard-Compliant Pressure Tappings
Accurate Δp measurement with straight pipe lengths and pressure measuring rings at the meter inlet and outlet.
Automatic Pressure Loss Analysis
The measured pressure loss is evaluated against the limits of the meter's Δp class.
Evaluation by Δp Class
Automatic pass / fail decision against the Δp 63, 40, 25, 16 and 10 pressure loss classes.
Pressure Loss Curve
The change of pressure loss with flow rate is displayed and recorded graphically.
Air Purging
Air is purged from the line and pressure tappings before measurement for stable readings.
Touch Control Panel
Real-time display of flow, inlet/outlet pressure, differential pressure and test status.
Automatic Test Reporting
Test results, measured values and graphs are reported in PDF / Excel format.
